Founded in 1963, The Science Center is owned and operated by 32 local academic and medical research institutions. It is the oldest and largest urban incubator in the world. The Science Center provides business services and incubator spaces to starting research and technology companies.  Its mission is to be the world’s best science and technology commercialization engine, and in order to achieve this The Science Center relies on the services, and specifically the facilities, it provides to its customers.

The Science Center retained Aegis Property Group to assist its efforts to maintain, develop and expand its real estate portfolio at various addresses along Market Street in Philadelphia, including:

•  Renovation of 3401 Market Street for various high-tech tenants, including dry lab spaces and several building system upgrades.

•  Fit-out of approximately 15,000 s.f. at 3624 Market Street into both wet- and dry-lab spaces, with associated office, conference and support spaces.  This fit-out will provide incubation space for multiple smaller tenants on a lease basis.
