Fulton County Medical Center (FCMC) is a community based critical access hospital and nursing home which serves the people of Fulton County and surrounding areas in south-central Pennsylvania and western Maryland. The design of the one level building includes environmentally friendly sustainable building concepts. The project also includes extensive site work, a helipad and healing gardens for the long term care residents.

Aegis Property Group was initally retained to prepare an evaluation of the Medical Center development project. The evaluation process included a review of the design development documents and related cost estimate and value engineering as well as preparation of a comprehensive project budget. After completion of the project evaluation, Aegis was retained to provide project management services for the balance of the design process. Aegis led the design team and construction manager through a challenging scope reduction process in order to align the project scope with the Medical Center’s financial capabilities. Aegis also assisted the Medical Center in securing financing for the project including a Pennsylvania RACP grant and sale of hospital revenue bonds.

The design team included Hayes Large Architects, Brinjac Engineering, and Medequip medical equipment planners.
