Princeton University – Housing Alternatives

Princeton

Location: Princeton, New Jersey

Beginning in 2003, Princeton University retained Aegis  as Program Manager for the following assignments:

  • Environmental Safety Risk Management assessment of 108 buildings for fire code and life safety deficiencies. A risk assessment methodology was developed to guide the prioritization of remedial actions. Implementation is underway.
  • Capital Program Management Process assessment. In the context of a three fold increase in capital spending ($1 billion over 7 years) the Facilities Organization reviewed their existing Project Management processes, procedures and resources. Refinements were made and implementation began in July 2003.
  • Housing Master Plan Update. Aegis assembled a team that assessed the need to renew, replace, and expand the inventory of Graduate Student and Faculty/Staff Housing as part of the overall Housing Master Plan Update. Options studied include greenfield development, redevelopment of existing sites owned by the University, and potential acquisition sites.
