Alternate Transaction Structures/Off Campus Development

Columbia University, Princeton University, and The New York Public Library: Research Collections and Preservation Consortium (ReCAP), an off-campus consortium of the three to develop, own, and operate a state of the art library materials shelving facility with ultimate capacity for 35 million volumes
-Providing comprehensive development management services since its inception in 1999 including four phases of development
-Oversaw addition of over 5,000 photovoltaic rooftop panels that provide 367kW of generating capacity under a power purchase agreement with PPL Renewable Energy
-Negotiated terms and conditions of the power purchase agreement on behalf of ReCAP

Princeton University: 701 Carnegie Center, a 120,000 s.f. build-to-suit lease transaction for administrative offices, occupied in November 2009 and pursuing LEED Silver Certification. 701 Carnegie Center is Princeton University’s first off campus development project.
-Performed feasibility studies of own vs. lease options
-Support lease negotiations with developer
-Provided comprehensive project management services as an extension of the University Facilities organization

University of Pennsylvania: Acquisition and analysis of Graduate Hospital real estate holdings and disposition of certain buildings and land parcels

University of Pennsylvania Erdman Center: 90,000 s.f. ambulatory care center currently under construction and pursuing LEED Silver Certification that will serve as a teaching facility

-Performed studies related to the University’s policies and procedures regarding project management and environmental safety risk management on 108 buildings
-Housing master plan update

PIDC and Pennsylvania State University’s Energy Research Facility project at the Philadelphia Navy Yard

Extension of in-house resources

Villanova University School of Law: 171,000 sf. law building completed in July 2009, expected to achieve LEED certification; 175,000 s.f., 600 vehicle parking garage completed in August 2007

-Developed feasibility studies and order of magnitude pricing for building options
-Project budget was fixed based on conceptual estimate established by Aegis
-Managed a design and preconstruction process controlling project scope and budget in unstable construction market

The Science Center - the oldest and largest urban incubator and science center in the world, owned by 32 colleges and academic research facilities.
