Project Description:

Whitney Center opened in 1979 with 202 independent living apartments and 59 skilled nursing beds.  Over time, consumer preferences for larger apartments and insufficient IL turnover necessitated the combination of some IL apartments and designation of specific IL units for assisted living.  Currently, Whitney Center comprises 178 IL apartments, 6 assisted living units and a 59 bed SNF.  In November 2004, Whitney Center engaged a development consultant to manage the conceptual planning phase for the proposed reconfiguration and expansion project.  Whitney Center has thus far conceived several alternative master plan concepts and is currently proposing 84 new IL units, a new health center to include 30 new assisted living units, 12 dementia care units and 59 skilled nursing beds along with new and renovated common areas.

Whitney Center retained Aegis Lifescapes, LLC as its Project Manager to manage the Implementation Phase of this project.
