UNION LEAGUE OF PHILADELPHIA INTERIOR RESTORATION

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

The Union League of Philadelphia is one of the city’s most venerable institutions. With over 2,500 members, the club provides restaurant, conference, health club and residential services in its landmark building on South Broad Street. Anticipating celebration of its 150th Anniversary in 2013, the League is undertaking an effort to renovate and restore the interiors of the original and historically registered Union League building built in 1865 and 1909. The interior renovation, guided by a comprehensive master plan, is planned to occur in 6 phases over the next 9 years. With a total budget of $20 million the project’s scope includes renovation and restoration of main dining rooms, café/bar, sitting rooms, business center, conference rooms, main kitchen and employee areas. Plans also include the creation of a Civil War archives center, new business and conference center and new fitness and athletic facilities. Completion on Phase I occurred in Fall of 2005.
