PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
The Union League of Philadelphia is one of the city’s most venerable institutions. With over 2,500 members, the club provides restaurant, conference, health club and residential services in its landmark building on South Broad Street. The privately owned parking garage adjacent to the league was condemned and closed in 1999. Realizing this significantly compromised member services, the League acquired the property in March 2000 and fully rennovated and repaired the structure and the facility. The garage opened in September 2001 offering 350 parking spaces and 2,500 s.f. of retail space to both the Union League and the general public. The design team was lead by Cagley, Harman and Associates and construction was performed by Daniel J. Keating, Inc.
