The Melrose Hotel Company is a hotel management company which exclusively manages BPG Properties, Ltd. investment properties. The Melrose Hotel Company acquired the famous Barbizon Hotel in 2000 and has placed it under its corporate flag. The Melrose Hotel New York, located in the exclusive Upper East Side of Manhattan, offers 306 luxury guest rooms, a fitness center and dining facilities on its 22 floors. The Melrose Hotel Company elected to upgrade and expand the fire sprinkler system to a full coverage system that exceeds the local building code requirements. The Hotel replaced the finishes within the guestroom corridors while the fire protection improvements were being completed. Construction was completed in early Spring 2004.
