Located on a 22-acre site at the center of Camden's waterfront redevelopment, Camden Aerospace Center is a $75 million complex, including a 225,000 square foot manufacturing facility completed in September, 1992 and a 350,000 square foot office building occupied in March, 1993. The development was 100% preleased and is fully occupied by L3 Communications (formerly General Electric Company's Aerospace Division). Financing was provided by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Camden County and other public and private entities. The project was designed by Ballinger and constructed by L. F. Driscoll Company.

Aegis Property Group Role:
In a joint venture with financial partner BPG Properties, Ltd., AEGIS PROPERTY GROUP developed and owns this fast track project which was completed in less than two years. As a result of this successful project, AEGIS PROPERTY GROUP was awarded Excellence in Downtown Development in 1993 by Downtown New Jersey, Inc. As Managing General Partner, AEGIS PROPERTY GROUP staff was responsible for all aspects of development management, leasing and financing.
