Berwind Corporation is a highly diversified, privately held international firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2001 Berwind renewed its lease of approximately 90,000 square feet of office space in Centre Square West. Satisfied with the original architectural design of its original 30,000 square foot space on the 30th floor completed in 1974, Berwind retained the original project architect Joseph Bobrowicz to work with a large design team, led by the interior design firm Floss Barber, Inc., to restore the space to its original design while upgrading it to accommodate state of the art technology systems. Berwind retained Clemens Construction to provide construction management services for the project. The work was completed in May 2004. Aegis Property Group completed work on the 30,000, 32nd floor in 2002 for Berwind's affiliate Berwind Property Group. Design work on the 30,000 square foot, 31st floor began in the fall of 2004.
