1600 MARKET STREET | PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
During the late 1990’s, Lend Lease Real Estate Investments (formerly The Yarmouth Group) represented ownership of 1600 Market Street, a 40 story office tower in downtown Philadelphia. In 1996, PNC Bank executed a fifteen year lease of approximately 300,000 square feet in 1600 Market Street. As part of this agreement, Lend Lease committed to expand and renovate the building’s ground floor level lobby at a cost of approximately $2.5 million. A design team of Ballinger, a Philadelphia architectural firm, and Cosentini Associates, a New York-based mechanical engineer, was retained by the owner. Structure Tone, Inc., a New York-based construction company, was the general contractor. Occupancy occurred at yearend 1996.
