PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - On November 16, 2004 Brandywine Realty Trust celebrated the topping out of Cira Centre, a 727,000 s.f. 28-story Class A office tower located next to 30th Street Station, Philadelphia's grand railroad terminal and the central point in the nation's second busiest intermodal transportation network. The celebration included an impressive guest list highlighted by Mayor John Street, Jerry Sweeney, Chief Executive of Brandywine and architect Cesar Pelli.
The ceremony was held on the top deck of Amtrak's nine-story parking garage, which opened in May 2004. The 1,525 space garage was developed by Berwind Property Group and financed by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority (PEDFA).
AEGIS PROPERTY GROUP, acting on behalf of Amtrak, as its Development Manager, performed a full range of development services, including: soliciting development proposals, negotiating terms and conditions with the developer, oversight of the developer's designers and contractors and coordination of the work with the Amtrak operations.
