PHILADELPHIA (October 19, 2006) - Aegis Property Group, a real estate development and management firm in Philadelphia, PA, continues to support Lockheed Martin with the development of the new Marine One, the official Presidential Helicopter. Making significant progress, Lockheed Martin moved the original test aircraft to its Owego, NY, facility this week. Aegis has provided Lockheed Martin with development management services at the Owego facility since the $30 million dollar project’s inception this past June.

“Being involved with the construction of such an important facility that will develop and deliver the next generation Presidential Helicopter fleet is a tremendous distinction for Aegis,” said Robert Rittenhouse, principal and development director for Aegis. “The test aircraft making its way to the facility is another step to getting this project fully operational.”

Aegis has provided Lockheed Martin with strategic planning, team formation, construction procurement project scheduling and financial management that have allowed for quick progress. Aegis also provides Lockheed Martin with ongoing consulting support to address financial, scope and scheduling issues that emerge in the close-out of the project.
