PHILADELPHIA (July, 2006) - Robert Rittenhouse, Principal and Development Director of Aegis Property Group, a real estate development and management firm in Philadelphia, recently announced that Aegis has been retained by The Research Collections and Preservation Consortium (ReCAP) to serve as project manager for "Module V." The project is a $13 million expansion of ReCAP's library materials facility in Princeton, NJ. ReCAP is a consortium of Columbia University, the New York Public Library and Princeton University, that owns, occupies and operates the library facility on Princeton's Forrestal Campus.

"Module V" will accommodate an expansion of this offsite storage facility that houses the library's growing collections. The project is slated to break ground later this year and is scheduled to open in early 2008. Upon completion of "Module V," the ReCAP facility will provide storage capacity in excess of 10 million volumes. The site allows for the eventual construction of several additional modules, providing 218,820 square feet of storage space for 37.5 million library items.

"The expansion of the state-of-the-art library facility will further enhance the re-development of Princeton's Forrestal Center while still serving a practical function," said Rittenhouse. "Aegis has worked with ReCAP since 2000 and is proud to provide our services to such fine organizations."

Aegis will provide comprehensive development management services including project planning, team formation, preconstruction, construction and occupancy phases of the development for ReCAP. ReCAP is located at 400 Forrestal Road, on Princeton University's Forrestal Campus in Princeton, NJ.
