Fulton County Medical Center
Aegis Role:
Aegis Property Group was retained by FCMC in January 2005 to prepare an evaluation of the Medical Center development project. The evaluation process included a review of the design development documents and related cost estimate and value engineering as well as preparation of a comprehensive project budget. After completion of the project evaluation, Aegis was retained to provide project management services for the balance of the design process. Aegis led the design team and construction manager through a challenging scope reduction process in order to align the project scope with the Medical Center’s financial capabilities. Aegis also assisted the Medical Center in securing financing for the project including a Pennsylvania RACP grant and sale of hospital revenue bonds.
In addition, Aegis provided project management services during the construction phase which included overseeing the construction manager, coordination of the owner-purchased equipment and management of the overall project budget. Construction started in June 2006 and was completed in October 2007 with occupancy in November 2007.
